Meetings

General meetings of SIMA are held on the second Monday of each month, AT 7:30 P.M. Currently, we are meeting in the "Trophy Room" of the Idaho Fish and Game Department. This is Located at 600 South Walnut Street in Boise. Entrance is in the back of the building. Directions and a map are below. Usually, there are no meetings in June and September, when they are replaced by forays.

Meeting schedule for Summer/Fall 2007

  • June, No meeting because of spring foray, dates to be announced
  • July, No meeting because we were lazy
  • August 8, No meeting, Several members going to NAMA Foray in W. Va. to pitch 2008 NAMA Foray.
  • September27-30 Fall Foray at Quaker Hill Camp. McCall.
  • October 8, 2007 Regular Meeting
  • November 12, 2007
  • December, Christmas party lunch, date not set.

Membership Information:

SIMA Membership $5.00/person.

Single SIMA and North American Mycological Society (NAMA) Membership $35.00

Family SIMA and NAMA Membership $40.00

N.B. Nama is dropping the status of Full Affiliation, which we have held since our beginning. There will no longer be such a status. As a result our dues may be changing slightly this fall. Stay tuned.

 

Driving Directions

Enter Boise via I 184, Stay on the Eastbound Connector (Myrtle Street) After Crossing Broadway Avenue, stay in the second from the left lane. Continue on Park Boulevard by turning left, just before the W. Parkcenter Bridge. Park Boulevard dead-ends at Walnut Street, and the Fish and Game Department offices are directly in front of you. The "Trophy Room" entrance is the glass door behind the building, on the northeast corner.

Alternatively, turn south on Walnut from Warm Springs Avenue, or Turn East on Park Blvd. by making a right turn off northbound W. Parkcenter Blvd., immediately after crossing the W. Parkcenter Bridge.
