Forays and Field Trips

Foray List Archive (Coming)

Forays are group outings in which mushrooms are identified by invited professionals or by a committee of experienced amateurs. New species are added only at forays where professionals are present to lead, or if the mushrooms are identified by committee, clearly by morphological, biochemical and microscopic examination and has a high probability of occuring in the area, according to the literature.

 

Fall 2007 - Was held at Quaker Hill's Lakeside Lodge on September 28,29,30, and Otober 1. Our fall forays are usually identification by comittee.

Spring 2008 - Wil be held at Camp Pinewood, this year to try the facilities in preparation for the NAMA Foray in September. Camp Pinewood is at 300 N. Mission St.

NAMA Foray Fall 2008, will be held at Camp Pinewood, in McCall.

Inocybe lanuginosa Group. Upper Payette Lake, Valley County

Field Trips - We have a morel foray scheduled for May. Late melting will probably force us to reschedule a date in June.

Mushroom Classes - Community education is no longer being supported by Boise School District. We may hold classes in conjunction with our meetings.
