This is an alphabetical list of names applied to species found at SIMA forays. In addition personal finds and those of our students are included. Finally, species ascribed to Idaho in the literature are included. This is not the official SIMA list, that is maintained by Marie Bailey. This list overlaps, almost completely, the official list, but is slightly different.

Wherever possible, in attempt to avoid duplication, I have linked to pictures already on the Web. I am slowly filling in pictures of those species not found elsewhere.

Navigate the list using the links to the left. Once the page appears in this screen, you can use the navigation links at the bottom of the page. When you are finished looking at a picture on a linked site, use the browser's back button to return to the list.

Many of the names are links to other web sites with illustations of that species. Since many sites change daily, some links may become inactive. Try a link several times, before you give up on it. Sometimes it is only high traffic that keeps you from the picture, and trying again a while later will get you there.

There are known issues with this list. There are quite a few duplications due to synonymy and name changes. There are several cases of material that was later found to be extralimital. I am working to correct these. If you find synonymies, or things that just can't be in this area, bad links, or bad names, please take the time to tell me at rchehey@simykos.org.
